30th May 2006 Brief: osCommerce site with zero rankings,
zero links... implemented
Basic SEO Package which required rewriting of
Meta-tags, new body text, new internal "informational" pages with optimisation,
plus submissions to all NZ directories and Search Engines, plus selected
international directories.
Result: Well, after a patient wait, there was some gratification in the
Search Engine Rankings, as the following images from the latest report will
show! The needle on the gauge started to flicker on 1st April, and things
jumped sharply in the following 10 days.
The Search Engine Saturation
graph shows that Google indexed the site thoroughly, but then let it go! Yahoo still has not
gone deep into the site, so we will keep an eye on that - it has ranked it
ok though. The Link numbers came up nicely, all work was
completed by mid-April.
Search Terms and Rankings
- I've used the same keyword search terms as on last report, and this chart
shows where they rank by Search Engine.
These
searches are for general terms e.g. "desktop telephones" rather than
specific models - which is why no actual products appear in the results,
only informational pages.
So, all in all, a good result for the
client so far... :-)
